Nightline Giant Schnauzers Reg'd

There is no dog show more prestigious and famous then Westminster Kennel Club. I think almost everybody, dog person or not, has heard of this show. Every year even people that know nothing about dog shows are found glued to their tv watching the endless parade of gorgeous purebred dogs being presented by people wearing fancy attire in opulent surroundings. It is a gathering of the creme de la creme of each breed from all over the world and it is a dream for any breeder to have a dog entered there. To win any type of award at Westminster is huge and highly valued. 

I have been fortunate to have had the honor of having multiple Nightline dogs compete at Westminster over the years…and do well!

In 2000, Ch Nightline Abstract Affair “Ebby” was awarded an Award of Merit. I was so thrilled for her and of course proud!!! Ebby is pictured below.

Next, BIS AmCh Nightline Viking A Tanglewood “Thor” came along and visited Westminster 2014 thru 2016. He collected a Select Dog award, a Best of Opposite win, and in his last year there he won Best of Breed and went on to make the cut in Group. That was HUGE! Thor is pictured below.

But the reason why I suddenly added an exclusive ‘Westminster’ page to my site is because the most incredible thing happened this year (2025) and it's so big it truly deserves a whole page to itself! This year history was made when a Giant Schnauzer won Best in Show at Westminster. Yes, won the WHOLE thing!!! The first Giant Schnauzer ever in the 149 year history of the show to win Best. It's as high as it goes in the dog world, an exclusive club of few members and to finally have a Giant in it is amazing. The very gorgeous and special Giant that achieved this monumental goal is Cheryl Ambrose' fabulous BIS/BISS AmCh Hearthmore Wintergreen Mountain, better known as “Monty”. AND…Monty's mom just happens to be AmCh Nightline Heart of Delarive “Dela”, born and bred by me right here at Nightline Kennels!!! Westminster Best in Show ‘Monty’ is half Canadian!!!! You can't imagine the pride I feel! To be a part of this beautiful dog and his historic journey leaves me speechless. I have been blessed and I know it.
